Beloved sister, tita, lola and friend, Sarah King, was born on October 4, 1943 in the Philippines. After four years of bravely battling cancer, she passed away on November 3, 2018 surrounded by family at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto. Her laughter and joyful, larger-than-life presence is her legacy and will be so missed by all she has touched. May she rest in peace.
Dearest Tita – Your vibrance and light will be missed. We are so blessed to have had you in our lives. Love you always.

Oh Tita Sarskidoooo! There is so much I want to say, but I know you know what’s in my heart, right? I’ve learned and still learn so much from you. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your joy, your laughter, your wisdom, your guidance. I will miss our walks, our heart-to-heart chats and coffee time, our big laughs, your emails…YOU! I know Bea now has you as an extra special angel. Oh Tita, I love you so much and will miss you every day. Enjoy every moment, right? Your Buddinsky xoxoxo
Emmaline and Blanda, I emailed you a small eulogy about Sar and our Aching Joints Gang . If you find time during the memorial service, please read it. Otherwise, just keep it as a souvenir.

Dear Sarah,
Thank you for bringing your light and laughter into the world. I will always remember the times I visited Canada, how welcome you made me feel and how much fun we all had. I’ll remember the walks in Port Credit, the family get-togethers, the trips out for lunch, the elf hats at Christmas, Balderdash . . . Thank you for being a perfect auntie to Budd, and a brilliant grauntie to Bea. Thank you for being you.
Rest in peace.
Tibbs

I’m so glad we had that chance encounter at Whole Foods after losing contact for many years. I chat with you dear Sarah, in my head, before I go to bed at night… I wish we had more time to catch up. My heart is broken.

I’m so glad we had the chance to get together a few times after so many years of having lost contact. I wish we had more time to catch up dear Sarah. My heart is broken.
sars, to say ‘thank you’ over and over, wouldn’t be enough to express my gratitude but I still say so. sincerely, titoq
sars, enjoy the company of angels, you deserve it .
your brad-in-law, Tito
My dearest Sarakins – It has been a month now since you left us but I still feel the pain of your departure. Our childhood memories in Agno Street are still vivid in my mind as you have made every adventure we shared together so wonderful and full of laughter. I will never forget your beautiful, expressive Natalie Wood eyes, my dear “Natalie-sod” – Thank you for being my friend. Pray for us as we pray for you in heaven. I love you forever!
