elevated 4omhu Silvio Foglia, son of the late Biagio and Domenica Foglia was born on August 12, 1933 in Teramo, Abbruzzo, Italy and passed away peacefully at the Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
elevated 4omhu Silvio is reunited with his beloved son Roberto Foglia, grandson Andrew Christian Foglia, his brothers and sisters. He will be dearly missed by his loving, devoted wife Maria Antonietta, son Luciano ( Josie) and grandson David. Silvio was a loving and proud Nonno to David.
elevated 4omhu Silvio arrived in Canada as a young man, and built a beautiful life. He was very hard working and devoted to his family. He took great pride in his garden, where he grew the finest fruits and vegetables. He enjoyed playing bocce with friends at the club, and early morning bike rides. Silvio loved all of his family dearly, here in Canada and Italy. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. May he rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, if you wish a donation can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada http://www.heartandstroke.ca or the Canadian Red Cross- Ukraine Crisis https://donate.redcross.ca/page/100227/donate/1?locale=en-CA in memory of Silvio.
Deepest condolences to the Foglia family. Rest In Peace Silvio.
Soo sorry Zia he will be missed he was a good man sorry I couldn’t make it I just had surgery in my back again my condolences
We just heard the sad news of Zio Silvio’s passing. Our families were close when I was a kid growing up.
In addition to being a great Uncle, Silvio always had the utmost respect for my parents, Elena and Jimmy Scianitti. When my father was house-bound in his later years, Silvio would jump on his bike and spend the afternoon with them. It was always a welcomed visit and many laughs were shared.
He will be sorely missed and our hearts and prayers go out to Maria, Luciano and his family. Rest in Peace Zio Silvio.
My uncle was a kind, soft spoken man with an infectious smile.
I will always remember the love he had for his family.
He loved my mother, his sister and always found the time to make her part of his daily routine. Whether it was a phone call or a 6am visit to the house to share a cup of coffee with his sister, Zio would always brighten her day.
In the end they both accepted the challenges that their health would demand.
May the Good Lord give Zia Maria, Luciano and his family the strength and courage to meet the days ahead, and fuel those days with loving memories of Zio Silvio.
Fernanda and I will always remember the giant of a man that he was.
Con tanto affetto,
Tony and Fernanda
