It is with profound sadness the Basso family announce the passing of their dear mother Sylvia (nee Tenaglia). She is predeceased by her beloved husband Umberto (passed in April 2010). Loving Mother to Glenn (Marlena), Steve (Sophie), Ted (Connie) and Elizabeth (Jack Lamanna). Adored Nonna to Angelica, Alyssa, Alexandra, Victoria, Jonathan, Christian, Madelaine, Julian, Madison and Joshua. Sylvia will be held dear in the hearts of her sisters, brother, sisters-in-law, brother- in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and many friends.
Sylvia’s life was one filled with love for her family, her many friends, and for those whose lives she touched. She will be fondly missed and remembered by all.

My sincere condolences to you all. I knew Sylvia through St.David’s Parish and we were roommates during a pilgrimage trip to Italy several years ago. May your Mom rest in peace and may all of you find comfort during these difficult days 🙏
I never had the pleasure of meeting Sylvia, but I heard such wonderful things about her.

We will always treasure the sweet memories of Sylvia at family gatherings, she was a kindhearted woman who adored children, and doted on ours everything we saw her. We are so grateful to have known her loving heart, and to have shared a small piece of her very big life. Jon Paul fondly remembers Umberto and while we share in the sadness of her passing, we take comfort knowing she is reunited with him.
