My Godfather & uncle, a true “wazy”; you will be missed beyond words, especially when I hear the train whistles! That’ll be you letting me know you have all reunited.
Renee we are so sorry for your loss but Papa will be resting in peace now. You were a fantastic granddaughter whom he loved dearly. You gave him many years of joys. He was so proud of you.
Sue, Kathleen and I wanted to send our thoughts and prayers to you and your family as you go through this challenging time.
Love your cottage family Dave, Kathleen
Thank you for all the great memories ❤️ Renee and I had so much fun at the house and cottage. Your smile is beautiful and always made my day when I saw you. Love you, Papa. You will be missed.
You always made me laugh as a little girl when I was in the pool at your house I will miss you very much
Although I haven’t seen cousin Ted for many years. We were both born in Opal and we are the same age. We always kept in touch especially at Christmas time when we would receive a card with a short letter. Ted was a good man and we know that he will be missed. Please know that our prayers are with his family and we know that it is comforting to know he is with his loved ones in heaven.
Hi Renee, Sending my deepest condolences to you and the family. I always kept fond memories of papa, he truly was a great person . You are so close to papa, I hope you find peace during this difficult time. May he rest in eternal peace 🕊️ ✨💓
We’re too sorry for the loss of Uncle Ted. It’s been years since I’ve seen him, but as we near to the last of that generation of Wazonek’s…. it’s still sad. I’m always comforted in knowing we’ve had a bit of extra time with him around into his 90’s. Love from us.
Dear Uncle Ted, thank you for providing me with my first car drive. It was to Sick Kids for a blood transfusion and it was a life-changer.
I will always remember the special trip we took to a municipal council meeting. Politics were a special topic and your discussions were right on the mark!
I also admired your self-taught education and will remember to read the first section of the Star! It covers everything you need to know.
Uncle Ted you always stepped in to help our family. When I couldn’t make it into the hospital after my Dad died, you came in my place. You also came countless times to help my Mom. Jumping up on a roof in your seventies to check for a leak or clean eaves troughs; it was routine. You also delivered 20 bags of soil in your high km station wagon. Not broken in till over 150 km.
I’m glad you continued eating 2 eggs each morning or 730 eggs/yr. It went well with your Mediterranean Diet.
Last but not least, thank you for letting John, Michael and I garden at your beautiful Ajax property, We never touched the grass cutting, it was your love. From those special days we also saw your devotion to EWTN and the Daily Masses.
You are an inspiration to everyone who met you and were a proud father and Papa, Your home was a sanctuary; a place where children visited often. I’m glad you stayed!
Love
Gwen, John and family

We are saddened to hear of Cousin Ted passing, Our heart felt sympathy to everyone. Like all of his loved ones, we too, have many wonderful memories of Ted and the early Waz Tribe, so much summer fun when they still lived at Opal and before the move to CYYZ. Our love to all the family. We know dear Ted is with our Lord and Savior and in Heaven.

I’m sorry for the loss of Uncle Teddy. Renee and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
I will always remember the weekend I spent in Wasaga with Uncle Teddy and my Nanny, Millie. They took me to the Creemore Brewery for lunch. I can still clearly picture sitting out on the patio with the two of them. I think of you two reunited and having a beverage in the sun.
Lots of love,
Jenn
Sorry to hear about Ted.
Brief message from Herb Smerychynski son of cousin
Henrietta Smerychynski.
Met Ted in 1967 when I went to Expo 67 at the young age of 14 with Uncle Ed Wawzonek and his sons.
Met him and spent only a few hours but left a lasting
impression of character and sincerity that has lived with me throughout my life.
Sorry for the families loss.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wazonek Family. Uncle Ted was a very kind and thoughtful person. We always remember when he visited with our mother and came with an apple pie. She treasured his visits and would talk about him for days. He always made time for everyone-he leaves us with lots of special memories- God Bless!
My condolences to the Wazonek family, Ted was my Godfather with Carolle and the sadness of his loss is great knowing that he is joining Carolle and Michelle warms the heart to be reunited with them
