elevated 1oXXo Peacefully at NYGH with his family by his side. Predeceased by his parents Vincent and Beatrice, brother Paul, sister-in-law Mary, and son-in-law Robert Richards.
elevated 1oXXo In Terry’s words: It was a great ride!
elevated 1oXXo Throughout his life, Terry possessed a great sense of humour and dry wit that endeared him to everyone. He could lighten any situation with a joke. Terry attended St. Michael’s College School and tried to live his life by their motto: Teach me Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge.
elevated 1oXXo In 1961, Terry married the love of his life, Anne. They were true soulmates who never ran out of things to talk about. Together they raised two daughters, Cathy and Linda, who were the centre of their lives. Being a father came naturally to Terry and he was a very involved dad who made life lots of fun with his great story telling abilities and playful nature.
elevated 1oXXo Terry enjoyed a long, successful career at Zurich Life where he made many lifelong friends. His retirement was filled with volunteer work which he loved. Near and dear to his heart was his work with the Terry Fox Foundation where he raised over $50,000 over 30 years.
elevated 1oXXo His most cherished role was that of Poppa to his five grandchildren. He was their biggest cheerleader and supported them in all their endeavours. Terry thoroughly enjoyed his life. He loved history, travelling, his grand dogs, his cars, sweets, and the Toronto Maple Leafs but most of all Terry loved his family. His was truly a life well lived.
elevated 1oXXo He will be missed so very much by his loving wife Anne, his daughters Cathy (Steve) and Linda (Dave), his grandchildren Katie, Sarah, Sean, Emily and Julia, his sister-in-law Phyllis and many family and friends. We are so grateful for the loving care Terry received in the Palliative Care Unit at NYGH by Dr. Rosenblum and nurses Scarlett and Annaliza.

I was so sad to hear of Terry’s passing. This must be a huge loss for you all as it was apparent to everyone who met Terry how much his family meant to him.
His warmth and sense of family extended into his business life . His support and kindness set the bar high for other employers. He will be missed.

So sorry and sad to hear of the passing of Terry. He has been a great help and friend to me the last few years while researching family history. Our thoughts are with all of you during this time.
I was surprised and saddened to hear about Terry passing. My thoughts are with you Anne and your family during this very difficult period.
Terry was an absolutely amazing man. I feel very privileged to have been given the opportunity to work with him at Zurich Life, for many years. He could always make me laugh and could quickly diffuse many situations, with his wit. Everyone who knew him will never forget how he made them feel, he was always kind and generous.
I will be keeping him in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Ann, Cathy, Linda and families. Terry was a wonderful neighbour; we will miss him. Terry and Ann always had a cheery wave or greeting whenever we saw them, either over the fence between our yards, on the street and other places we would see them. His sense of humour brightened our meetings. You will all miss him but share a special pride for a loving husband, father and “Poppa”. We will be thinking of you in the days ahead.

Terry was always kind to my parents who lived at 26 Inniswood . As my parents became older and my father lost his ability to drive he would either drive them or help with yardwork.
He was not only a friend of our family but also a
long time client at Maxwell’s Men’s Store for many years where I worked and Anne loved dressing him in our suits.
I have known him since I was young teenager and we always spoke about cars and he was always an engaging , interested gentleman who shared his stories with me about his life and family and he truly will be missed. God bless his soul and his family
