elevated Ux2Or
Vito was born on July 31,1933 to Annunziata and Vito Nicola in Ceglie, Italy. In 1963, Vito met Rosa. They wed one month after meeting, and wanted to immigrate to Montreal, Canada to start their lives together. Rosa immigrated in 1963, but Vito was not able to join her until two years later due to a false diagnosis of tuberculosis. After Vito’s arrival in Canada, Vito and Rosa would go on to have two children, Mauro in 1967 and Annunziata in 1969. Vito initially worked as a tailor at Tip Top Tailor in Montreal, but when his family later moved to Toronto, he put his needles and scissors to rest and joined Sonco Steel, where he proudly worked until his retirement.
elevated Ux2Or For all that had the opportunity to meet Vito, he undoubtedly left footprints in your hearts. He sang his way through to you, and communicated through jokes from his Italian era. Vito was born a gentleman; he was always found wearing his tailored shirts, wool undershirt, and pleated pants despite the temperature. Vito was generous, determined to provide for his family, and a man of few words with strong messages that resonate within all of us today and forever.
elevated Ux2Or Vito was predeceased by his mother, Annunziata, his father, Vito Nicola, and his brothers, Franco and Vincenzo. He is survived by his wife Rosa, his son Mauro (Nella), daughter Annunziata (Andrea), his grandchildren Christina (Wesley), Kassandra (Adam), Sabrina (Jordan), Livia, and Manuel, and his great-grandchild Romeo. Vito was greatly loved and will be forever missed.

Mon cher oncle, tu vas me manquer beaucoup car je t’aimais tant. J’ai eu hélas peu l’occasion de te rencontrer mais c’était à chaque fois que du bonheur, tu étais génial et tu nous témoignais beaucoup d’amour. Merci mon oncle, que Dieu te bénisse.
Our sincere heartfelt condolences to you all.
So many fond memories of Vito.
From the great times & meals in Hollywood Beach Florida to the story telling of moments of back in the day with many barzelletta’s along the way.
At times we couldn’t fully understand what he was saying but we always figured it out ourselves or sometimes with the help of his wife Rosa who was always by his side and of course his devoted son Mauro and his wife Nella.
Other moments we’d find him strolling along singing a verse to a song but if you gave him microphone he’d sing you the whole tune !
Many times he’d end certain statements with ‘e vero o no?? And if you said ‘no’ – well, then he’d look at you and smile & repeat it to expect the end result to be ‘sì vero’.
Special moments for sure.
May loving memories bring you peace, comfort, and strength.
Rest in peace Vito 🙏🏻
Our sincere heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
Cara Rosa e famiglia,
