elevated w9AuG Obituary
elevated w9AuG In loving memory of my mother, Wong Wei Lien, who went home to Jesus on May 1, 2022 at the age of 101 at Markham Stouffville Hospital.
elevated w9AuG Wei Lien was born in Shanghai, China on April 18, 1921 to loving parents. She was the eldest of five siblings, three brothers (predeceased) and a sister (Mary). Although Wei Lien was born to a traditional Chinese family, she was encouraged to pursue her education and graduated university with a degree in Law.
elevated w9AuG After her graduation, Wei Lien married Fei Veng and moved to Hong Kong. Wei Lien dedicated her life as a wife and mother when her daughter Jessie was born in 1951. She immigrated to Toronto in 1993 and continued her role as loving mother to Jessie and her husband, Alan. Wei Lien is a cherished grandmother to Paul (Mila) and great grandmother to Kingsley.
elevated w9AuG Wei Lien was well liked by her friends and neighbors and was dedicated to her church. She insisted on living alone and enjoyed her independence.
elevated w9AuG Mother, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
elevated w9AuG The family has requested a private visitation on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 8:30 am-10:15 am followed by a private funeral service at 10:30 am at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home 211 Langstaff Rd. E, Thornhill, Ontario, L3T 3Z6.
