Stafford, William – William Stafford passed away at home on January 8, 2023. “Billy” was the beloved son of the late William and Patricia Stafford. Loving brother of John (Christine), Mary, Joe (Theresa), and James (Leanne). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, Chapel of St. Joseph on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations to CAMH would be appreciated by the family.

I am so very sorry for your loss
I was extremely sad to hear of Bill’s passing, I met him in grade 3 or 4, hung out with him as a teenager and later we shared an apartment together. In our gang of friends, everyone had a nick name. So Bill will fondly be remembered by his old pals “As that Stratford Fellow”. You’re in a better place now my old friend.

My older cousin Billy left an indelible impression on me as a youngster during my summers in cottage country. Strong, smart. witty… always having a good time and pretty fearless as I remember it all. Rest in peace cousin!
I remember the stories mom always told about you. The most striking is how you always shared your allowance with Joe since he received less than you due to his age. Our mother cherished this memory. I also love the photo of you at the screen door when you were a child. So loving. So young. So innocent. You are fondly remembered by all the ‘kids’ that grew up on Sawley Drive. Goodbye dear brother.
